These are nice honest simple people. I read the reviews before I visited the store the first time: it seems obvious to me that several reviews were written by the same pissed-off former employee. The truth be known, it is the former employee that is the cheat and crooked.
I didn't buy the first visit, but no one hassled me about leaving. I bought the next day and sent the owner a bottle of wine for the store's christmas party.

I used to work there and can tell everyone that these guys cheat EVERYONE. This includes their salepeople and staff. I've seen cars traded in and sit in the same spot for two months, get washed and put on the lot. When doing a price check there is usually a couple thousand (at least) of "repairs" claimed on it. There was never even their so called "inspection done to it. This ensures the Cardinales make money while their customer gets screwed and the saleperson makes nothing. This is only one example of the "Cardinale Way".

These guys are crooks. I bought a pick up from them and didn't even realize that they pulled the old bait and switch on me. I can't believe that I was duped. When I came back and told the sales person that he deceived me and I was angry, he said that that was never his intention and then had the nerve to ask me for referrals! Here's my referral... Don't buy a damn thing from those bastards! I was even referred by one of their families long time good friends ( who has since apologized to me profusely).

Dont buy a car or enter a service contract with these guys. I bought a used BMW from them in March - after the sales person lied about the 'free detailing', ding remove and warranty terms it took 6 months to get the registration details. I have had to take the car back twice to get minor issues fixed, neither of which were covered under the terms of the warranty. On both occasions I was quoted $1000 for 'repairs', 'repairs' that they magically fixed putting the car back together when I told them that as it was not under warranty I was going to take it to the BMW dealership to be fixed. They either try to rip you off, or they are completely incompetent - either way I will never being doing business with them again.

I am a single woman who does outside sales and drives A LOT. I chose a used SUV. The salesman said he was going to check something and would be right back. He came back and told me to get out of that vehicle, he would not sell it to me. That model's mileage was so poor that with the 3000 miles a month I drive I would pay more in gas than a new car payment. After doing the math, I found he was correct. He did not have the car I needed in stock, so he searched and found a used Honda CRV with only 6000 miles at a price that actually saves me money each month vs the older, not as nice SUV I was going to buy. They give me free oil changes as long as I own the car, and even wash it 20 times free. Buying a car is always torture, but they made it as pleasant as possible. They also searched 5 banks to get me the lowest interest rate on financing. I'll go back for my next car.
I noticed the previous posting, and Cardinale isn't even a Mazda dealership - Mazda is right next door. Perhaps because the signs are right next to each other, the previous posting was for the other dealership.

Subject:cardinaleway mazda - Bad joke, Bad actors, Bad clowns, A bad place to buy a so called new car.
Christian Thomas,
Just wanted to let you know that my wife and I will never ever ever set foot in any cardinalway
store as long as we are alive, You and the stores policies of deceit and fraud are obvious and insulting,
Your bait and switch tactic last night was so obvious we laughed all the way to our dinner location.
This is the second time we have been betrayed by this store but we thought we would give it one more try however or fears were correct, Its no wonder you have cars parked in the back that are 2 and one half years old, Hey I have a hint for ya try being honest once in awhile post some out the door prices on some of your old dirty rusty smelly un presentable so called new cars , An open honest dealership might just sell more cars than one that deals with deceit and trickery. I have decided to file a complaint with the Arizona Better Business Bureau
on Tuesday (even though I doubt cardinalway is a member) and I will also file a complaint with Mazda Corporate Headquarters, I am also a very very good internet blogger and will post my experiences with you and your store as often as I can. And who knows you may just see me out front holding a sign to inform the public of your stores tactics.
