I was quoted a price that included certain items such as floor mats. These things were not in the car when I picked it up, I was told they were not included. I specifically listed these items in asking for a quote. I also asked for a remote start, their price was less than half of the other Honda dealer I received a quote from. The reason why is because they sent the car to an outside source to have the remote starter installed, without consulting or informing me. It has been a problem from day 1. The remote starter does not work with the Honda security system. The starter continually falls and hangs from my windshield. I really wish I had read the reviews before I went to this dealership. The conversations I have with them leave me feeling like I'm somehow in the wrong. My advice is to drive farther if need be, this is a big purchase and you want a great company who will provide follow up without a hassle, when and if needed.

I called Berlin City in Gorham to buy a used car. I picked the vehicle and gave my credit info to Bodie Barton. They said that my credit was no good and wouldnt even send it in. Ben Robarge. I went to another dealer not local and got financed and ended up buying a new Honda pilot Touring addition. I wanted to keep it local but couldent. I then called Ben on my way home to tell him but he wouldent take my call.
And he is a sales manager. DONT BUY FROM THEM they pick and choose who they sell too.

Berlin Motors in Portland Maine are very slippery. They will quote a price and then make up for any discount with an added administrative fee later....complete slime balls. Oldest trick in the books......we walked out.

I recently went to Berlin City Motor's Honda dealership in South Portland, Maine, and gave a salesman my debit card so the dealership could take $500 from my checking account as a deposit. A few days later I found that Berlin Motors had taken not $500 from my checking account, but $1,000. They became aware of what they had done at about 9 a.m. today, a sales manager told me when I called, but did not tell me about it. The sales manager said he'd look into it and try to find out why it happened. I told him I wasn't interested in finding out why it happened; I wanted my $500 back, right away. He called back within half an hour, late in the afternoon, and told me about how they'd known about their error for more than six hours (without telling me on their own initiative), and that it would take 24 hours for the return of my $500 to appear in my checking account. He also told me he would immediately email me all the documentation relating to this transaction to verify that Berlin Motors had actually returned my $500 when he said they had. He didn't do it. And my checking account is still $500 light. My advice? Be hesitant about giving anyone at Berlin Motors your debit or credit card. You don't know what they'll do with it. If you have to give them a deposit, write a check. — John Lovell

On August 15 In good faith, I put a deposit down on a used car during their used car sale. It was what they asked me for to hold the car until the following day when I could do paperwork. They sold it to someone else as soon as I left. The Manager Sean Hanlin then called me to try and apologize for something "unintentional" which was all the more insulting when my salesperson Travis told me Sean authorized the car to go to someone else. This dealership has some serious ethics issues, and I wouldn't trust them.
